While Jesus walked, nay, dragged Himself to the place He was to be crucified, He fell down a second time. the hot sun burning down on Him, the jeers, taunts and scorn of the mob, the agony He had suffered previously, His wounds which must have been sore and the weight of the Cross must have all been too much for Him, and so he collasped onto the ground. This fall is so significant of His humanity.We so often think of Jesus as "True God", but rarely think of Him as"True man" like us in all respects, except He was free from original sin.
Prayer
Gird us with new strength, dear Jesus for the steep climb and the hard stretches along the road to our glorious resurrection.
( We adore thee, O Chirst, and we bless/parise thee.
Because by thy holy cross, Thou hast redeemed the world.)
