JESUS IS CONDEMEND TO DEATH
What thoughts must have passed the mind of our dear lord on hearing that sentence-DEATH BY CRUCIFIXION? what emotions did he experience? Was he afraid? Was he , even for tiny microsecond, frightened to tink of what tortures, what agony awaited him? Or was He serene, calm, at peace, for he was doing his father's plan for the salvation of mankind? Did he look at His persecutors, His to-be tormentors with compassion, pity? Did He in His mind, saythose very same words He said as He hung on the cross, bruised and battered, bleeding form various wounds all over His body, "Father, forgive them for they know not what they do"?
Prayer
Lord Jesus, may we deliver ourselves up with patience and love to the many little deaths that fidelity in your service may require of us.
