The woman of Jerusalem mourned and wept on seeing Our Lord carrying the cross, as they felt upset watching Him suffer so much, but He exhorted them, "Weep not for Me, but for yourselves and your children."
Prayer
Lord Jesus, may the assurance that Our Father in Heaven will some day wipe our tears away, sustain us in the dark and painful hours of life.

Because by thy holy cross, Thou hast redeemed the world.)
